Recently I've been thinking, that if everyone takes a conscious effort to do something different each weekend that will help the environment, it will eventually catch on. Although recently I've taken an oath to go green, I'm still guilty of not being environmentally conscious all of the time.
One thing I am guilty of, that I plan on stopping this weekend is the use of plastic water bottles. With that being said, I'm going to start to fill up my water bottle and reduce my consumption of wasted p…

First, I joined this site about two weeks ago and there were about 600 members on it...Now there are over 730! I think it's great that the effort of going green is increasing drastically and the word on this great organization is growing...
With that being said, I wanted to talk about Energy Costs...When working for a company that helps reduce energy consumption you become very aware of energy costs in different parts of the country. For instance, for commercial use, the energy costs in the NYC…

I'm in the energy business selling a product that drastically helps reduce energy consumption on commercial refrigeration. We specialize in helping restaurants, hotels, bars, schools, hospitals etc... I've noticed here on the Northeast United States people are more concerned with how much money they will save as opposed to how many pounds of co2 emissions will be reduced.
What are most people concerned about in other areas of the country, the world? Are people mostly interested in going green b…

In an economy as bad as ours, end users need to figure out how to survive. Many companies are realizing that they can not cut pricing in their stores or cut product due to loyal consumers, so they must cut spending. One way to cut spending is to work with energy companies. I understand that many times energy companies have a ROI (Return on Investment) in 5 years or so, but there are still other options. There are many companies out there who offer a financing plan on the products they sell. The…

eCube was developed in England about 5 years ago and has traveled to a few countries. These countries are helping reduce energy consumption in refrigeration at a rapid speed. In fact just in America we've reduced about 2,628,000 lbs of CO2 emissions in less than a year.
If you have any interest in helping eCube grow and make the world a greener place, contact me at tshannon@getecube.com
Thanks!

Everyday I notice more and more people making conscious efforts of doing something a little more environmentally sound. And its the efforts of sites like this and the green voice that is allowing this to happen. It isn't done enough, but everyone should be proud of the efforts they are putting in to making this world a better cleaner place.
With that being said, here is a comedic approach of going green...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVh15aUt8-c

I once read that for ever $1 spent on energy, $0.20 is because of refrigeration, so refrigeration consumes 20% of the worlds energy usage. The world can be a much greener place if people just understood how silly the refrigeration system is.
Today, many refrigerators have thermostat bulbs that are measuring air temperature, when the door opens up and the warm kitchen air rushes in to the refrigerator, it usually causes a compressor to turn on because the air now thinks its 75 degrees in the box…

I wish there were a way to separate applications on energy bills. When running with a new product that will save energy consumption on refrigeration, it's tough to prove when the lighting, ovens, refrigeration, ac, etc is all included in one bill. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm looking to start a group in Northern New Jersey. I understand there was a group that met in Montclair but has recently stopped its active status. Is anyone else out there interested in forming another group in Northern NJ? I would love to get a couple supports to help us grow.
Thanks,
Tommy
